This compensation may be more or less than 10% <br />Q How close to the sidewalk can a structure be? <br />A There must be a 20' set back between the structure and <br />right -of -way line. If the structure is any closer it may be a <br />full take. <br />Q Bristol Street is ugly. I don't care if it meanders or not. <br />Will it look like Edinger when it's finished? <br />A We intend to create a nicer aesthetic appearance for Bristol. <br />This will positively effect property value in the area. <br />Q Indecision about whether Bristol Street will be widened has <br />prevented many residents from making street and property <br />improvements. Has a decision been made to actually widen the <br />Street? <br />A At this time the project is only under consideration. The <br />Environmental Study must be completed before any decision can <br />be made. <br />Q Is Bristol being rezoned from <br />residential <br />to retail and <br />commercial? <br />A The widening is to improve circulation <br />and <br />aesthetics not to <br />change zoning. <br />Q Will phased construction ruin <br />my business? <br />A Construction may be done from <br />intersection <br />to intersection. <br />The whole street will not be <br />ripped up all <br />at once. <br />Q Why stop the widening improvements at First <br />Street? <br />A Phased widening may occur as <br />far north as <br />Seventeenth Street. <br />Q what if I've dedicated land to the City already? <br />A Easement would be granted to the City and no additional <br />right -of --way can be taken. <br />
