As of January 2013, approximately 995 acres of industrial zoned land were identified as <br />opportunities areas for new construction and modification of existing buildings for emergency shelters. <br />These areas would be included in the Overlay, and are also within 1.5 miles from transit services. The <br />development standards in industrial zones will apply, as well as standards allowed under Senate Bill 2 <br />including a requirement for a site - specific operation and management plan.
