Skill 3: Becoming Aware <br />Objective: To help participants understand self - awareness and ways to manage emotions <br />Skill 4: Opening to Greater Understanding and Acceptance <br />Objective: To help participants manage emotions by understanding self and other perspectives <br />Skill 5: Making Conscious Choices <br />Objective: To help participants think critically about difficult situations and understand their choices <br />Skill 6: Seeking /Giving Support <br />Objective: To help participants enhance problem solving skills <br />Along with the Enriching curriculum, other life skills workshops have been approved for use by staff. All workshops <br />must align with TS1's Steps to Success goals including: <br />✓ Social and Emotional Wellness <br />✓ Healthy Behaviors <br />✓ Technological Literacy <br />✓ Financial Responsibility <br />✓ Educational Achievement <br />✓ Employment Achievement <br />Following is a list of the approved workshops along with an overview, key learning objectives and a list of presenters <br />who can be called upon to teach the workshops. Workshops that are not included below must be approved by the <br />Career and Education Specialist. All workshops taught and developed must clearly demonstrate that they are aligned <br />with Taller San Jose's Steps to Success goals.
