08/07/2000 11:95 FA% <br />Project Number 993000047 <br />Analytical Results <br />M <br />On January 6, 2000, Leighton collected two soil samples from the stockpiled soil that originated from <br />monitoring well destruction activities. The volume of stockpiled soil was approximately 5 cubic yards. <br />Soil samples Were collected into glass jars and placed into a cooled ice chest. The samples were <br />transported under Chain -of- custody to Del Mar Analytical located in Irvine, California. Samples were <br />analyzed for volatile organic compounds (VOCs) using EPA Method 8260, extractable fuel <br />hydrocarbons (EFH) using EPA Method 3550B/801513, and volatile fuel hydrocarbons (VFH) using EPA <br />Method 50308180158. The analytical results are summarized as follows: <br />Sample Results <br />S-1 VOCs (all ND) <br />EFH (8.9 mg/Kg) <br />VFH (ND) <br />S -2 VOCs (all ND) <br />EFH (780 mgJKg) <br />VFH (ND) <br />ND indicates the concentration is below laboratory reporting limits. A copy of the laboratory report and <br />chain -of- custody is included in Appendix C. <br />Conclusions and Recommendations <br />Based on the recent field activities, Leighton recommends no further action is required for the subject <br />site. <br />We appreciate this opportunity to be of continued service.
