<br />B. Specify what types of support your agency will offer youth who are facing challenging obstacles
<br />such as: family dysfunctions, mental health issues, substance abuse, low self-esteem, probation,
<br />gang issues, parenting issues, etc. OCCTAC is committed to helping youth who are facing
<br />challenging obstacles in their life, such as mental health issues, substance abuse, etc. We will work
<br />closely with our community partners (County of Orange, Health Care Agency, Social Services, MECCA
<br />and others) to provide the necessary mental health support and any other additional services needed
<br />to help our WIA youth. OCCTA's environment is very nurturing and supportive and provides the
<br />perfect environment to engage youth and maintain a high level of involvement in our programs. WIA
<br />youth are supported emotionally throughout the entire year at OCCTAC, and are provided with a
<br />positive and welcoming environment that also encourages youth to partake on various leadership
<br />roles within the various programs and activities at our agency. These additional activities provide
<br />youth with an opportunity to gain self-confidence, self-esteem and leadership skills, and also
<br />experience a safe haven at our center. Our goal is to empower youth and provide a life changing
<br />opportunity through this WIA program.

<br />OCCTAC will work closely with our community partners to make sure that the services are provided at
<br />OCCTAC or at their sites.

<br />Early Start Program
<br />The Early Start program is and early intervention program that
