Goal is to aid <br />enrolled youth with their successful completion of OCCTAC's WIA program. <br />Procedures: <br />Stipends Period (All Enrolled Youth): <br />Youth will receive 4 stipends, each of $150.00, upon successful completion of <br />first 80 hours of program participation. Please refer to "Work Based Learning <br />Policy 2014 — 2015" for additional information on stipend period. <br />20 hours <br />$150.00 <br />20 hours <br />$150.00 <br />20 hours <br />$150.00 <br />20 hours <br />$150.00 <br />TOTAL: 80 hours <br />TOTAL: $600 <br />HS Dropouts: <br />Individuals who are HS dropouts at time of enrollment will be encouraged to <br />attain a HIS diploma or GED. Those who enroll into an institution yielding to a HS <br />diploma or GED will be eligible to receive a $50.00 gift card for every two (2) <br />subjects they complete while enrolled in all phases of the WIA program. Doing so <br />will encourage these WIA participants to commit to their educational goal and <br />thus attain a secondary credential within a reasonable amount of time. Case <br />Manager, educational counselor and school representatives will communicate <br />regularly to insure that students enrolled into their institution commit to their <br />schedule to complete missing credits on a timely manner. <br />Basic Skills Deficient (BSD) Youth: <br />WIA participants who at time of enrolment are BSD will receive week tutoring in <br />Math and/or Literacy. To encourage these participants, the weekly tutoring <br />sessions will count towards their "stipend Period" as well as "hourly rate". Thus, <br />essentially participants will get paid for committing to their weekly tutoring <br />schedule. This incentive will aid in literacy, numeracy gain of each client. <br />EXHIBIT A <br />
