EXHIBIT I: Notice of Eligibility - Nonresidential <br />Date <br />Name <br />Name of Business <br />Address <br />Santa Ana, CA 92706 <br />Re: City of Santa Ana — Bristol Street Widening Project — Phase III B <br />Dear Business Owner: <br />The City of Santa Ana ( "City ") has made an offer to acquire the property upon which you <br />currently occupy and operate your business. As an eligible occupant, you may be entitled to <br />certain benefits under the California Code of Regulations, Title 25, Division 1, Chapter 6 and the <br />California Government Code, Title 1, Chapter 16, Section 7260 et. seq. These benefits are <br />outlined below. It is important that you understand the conditions described below which must <br />be met before any payments can be made. <br />As the business owner(s) of the property, you are entitled to options 1, 2 and 3 below, or you <br />may choose option 4. <br />RELOCATION ADVISORY ASSISTANCE: <br />The City will assist you in your efforts to search for a replacement space to conduct your <br />business. Information on available properties, zoning requirements, typical real estate <br />purchase and rental costs, and the services offered by other agencies in the area are also <br />available. Please contact your relocation consultant to assist you with your relocation <br />efforts. <br />2. MOVING AND RELATED EXPENSES: <br />Businesses may be paid on the basis of actual reasonable moving and related costs and <br />reestablishment expenses as the City determines to be reasonable and necessary. The <br />following moving expenses may be considered by the City: <br />a. Transportation of personal property limited to 50 miles or less. Distances beyond 50 <br />miles are not eligible, unless the City determines that relocation beyond 50 miles is <br />justified <br />b. Packing, crating, unpacking, and un- crating of the personal property <br />c. Disconnecting, dismantling, removing, reassembling, and reinstalling relocated <br />machinery, equipment, and other personal property, and certain substitute personal <br />property. This includes connection to utilities available nearby. It also includes <br />modifications to the personal property necessary to adapt it to the replacement site, or the <br />utilities at the replacement site, or modifying the power supply.
