Include design, materials, condition, alterations, size, setting, and boundaries.) <br />The Symmes House is designed in the Tudor Revival style clad in stucco and assymetrical massing. The comospition <br />shingle roofing is non - original, and it is believed that the original material was wood shake. Two front facing bays, one larger <br />than the other, comprise the bulk of the front elevation. The larger baby is pierced by a large wooden tripartite window <br />surrounded by stone. The other bay contains the recessed front door and its opening is also surrounded by stone with a faux <br />keystone at its apex. A built in mail vent is situated to the right of the front door. The front door itself is composed of heavy <br />wood with a peek -a -boo arched window. The front entry is flanked by wrought iron decorative railing. A meandering <br />herringbone pattern brick walkway leads t the front entry from the sidewalk. This walkway is further ornamented with <br />rectangular colonial pilasters.
