Include design, materials, condition, alterations, size, setting, and boundaries.) TheTate House is one of the oldest homes in the Floral Park neighborhood having been built in 1916. It is designed in the Craftsman Bungalow style of architecture. It is clad in clapboard wood siding with a stringcourse of wider siding. The front facing gable is sheathed in board and batten siding and six rectangular vertical windows of gradating sizes. It is topped with shingling. A second story was added in the airplane bungalow style in 2005, but was done so in a complementary way. A Peruvian granite covered chimney is to the west (right) of the house which is also non - original. The foundation is also covered in Peruvian granite. Wood single hung windows have rectangular patterned valance at the top with large open glass at the bottom. The front entry open beam cover is non - original, but is clearly in the Craftsman style. Landscape includes California native lantings. A two -car garage sits in the rear of the lot.
