Adopt a resolution approving Historic Resources Commission Application No. 2014 -41 and <br />Historic Register Categorization No. 2014 -41. <br />2. Recommend that the City Council authorize the City Manager and Clerk of the Council to <br />execute the attached Mills Act agreement with Eric R. Carlson and John E. Baird, subject to non - <br />substantive changes approved by the City Manager and City Attorney. <br />Request of Applicant <br />Eric R. Carlson and John E. Baird are requesting approval to designate an existing residence <br />located at 2441 North Riverside Drive to the Santa Ana Register of Historical Properties, as well as <br />approval to execute a Mills Act agreement with the City of Santa Ana. <br />Project Location and Site Description <br />The subject property consists of a 3,000 square foot, two -story Monterey Variant -style residence and <br />detached garage on a 12,197 square foot residential lot located on Riverside Drive between Benton <br />Way and North Flower Street (Exhibit 1). <br />ANALYSIS OF THE ISSUES <br />Historical Listing <br />In March 1999, the City Council approved Ordinance No. NS -2363 establishing the Historic <br />Resources Commission and the Santa Ana Register of Historical Properties.
