<br />contract. In the execution of this contract, the eontmctor
<br />gees to comply with the following minimumspecific

<br />following statement
<br />'Itis the policy of this Comparnyto assure that applicants
<br />are employed, and that employees we treated during
<br />employment, without regard to their race, religion, sex, colo,
<br />national origin, age ordisability. Such action shall Include -
<br />employment upgrading, demotion, or transfer, recruitment of
<br />recruitment advertising; layoff atearmsfien; rates of pay OF
<br />other form of compensation.; and selection for training,

<br />job training
<br />2. EEO Officer: The contactor will designate and make
<br />known to the contracting officers an EEO Officerwhaw ill have
<br />the reslonsibiilityforand must be capable ofeffectively
<br />administering and promoting an active EEO program and who
<br />must be assigned adequate authority and responsibility to do
<br />so.
<br />3. Dissemination of Policy: All membered the contractors
<br />staff who are atnhonzed to hire, supervise, promote, and
<br />discharge employees, orwbo recommend such action, or who
<br />am substantially involved in such action, will Ire made fully
<br />cognizant of, and will rrpiement, the contractors EEO policy
<br />and contractual responsibilities to provide EEO in each grade
<br />and classification of employment. To ensure that the above
<br />agreementwiti Ire met, the following actions will be taken as a
<br />minimum:
<br />a. Periodic meetings of supervisory and personnel office
<br />employees will lis conducted before the start of work. and than
<br />not less often than once every six months, at which time the
<br />contractor's EEO policy and its implementation will be
<br />reviewed and explained. The meefirgs villi be conducted by
<br />the EEO Officer.
<br />b. All new supervisory or personnel office employees AN be
<br />given a thorough Indoctrination by the EEO Officer, covering
<br />all majoraspects of the contractors EEO obligations within
<br />thirty days fotlawing their reporting f irciuty with the contractor.
<br />c, All personnel who are engaged to direct monalmerd for
<br />the project will be instructed by the EEO Officer in the
<br />contractors procedures for locating and hiring minadOes and
<br />women.
<br />d_ Notices and posters setting form the contractors EEO
<br />policy will be placed in areas readily accessible to employees,
<br />applicants for employment and potential employees..
<br />a. The contractors EEO policy and the procedures to
<br />implement such policy All be brought to the attenfion of
<br />employees by means of meetings, employee handlwnks, or
<br />other appropriate means.

<br />a. The contractor will, unless precluded by a valid
<br />bargaining agreement, conduct symeacetic and direct
<br />recmihment through public and private employee referral
<br />sources likely to yield qualified minaOfas and worsen. To
<br />meet this requirement, the contractor war identify sources of
<br />paleallal rrdncdty 910up employees, and establish with such
<br />identified sources procedures whereby minority and vonnen
<br />applicants may be referred to the contractor for employment
<br />consideration.
<br />b. In the event the contractor has a Wild bargaining
<br />agreement providing for exclusive hldrtg hall referrals, the
<br />contractor is expected to observe the provisions of that
<br />agamor itto the extent that the system meets the mntractar's
<br />compliance with EEO contract provisiarw. Where
<br />inpiementadan of such an agreement has the effect of
<br />discriminating against minorities or women, or obligates the
<br />contactor to do the same, such implementation violates
<br />Federal nondiscrimination provisions.
<br />c. The contractor will encourage its prmmntemployees to
<br />refer minorities and women as applicants foremplo}mnert.
<br />dnforrnation and procedures with regard to refining such
<br />applicants will be discussed with employees,
<br />S. Personnel Actions: Wages, working conditions, and
<br />employee benefits shall be established and administered, and
<br />personnel actions of every type, including hiring upgrading,
<br />Pronhogoa, transfer, demotion, layoff, and termination, shall be
<br />taken without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national
<br />origin, age or disability. The following procedures shall be
<br />followed:

<br />discrimination. W! Item evidence is found, the contractor will

<br />discrimination may extend beyond the actions reviewed, such
<br />corrective action shall include all affected persons.
<br />d. The contractor will promptly investigate all complaints of
<br />alleged discrimination made to the contractor in connection
<br />with its obligations undo this contract, will attempt to resolve
<br />such complaints, and All take appropriate corrective motion
<br />wthm a reasonable time. If the investigatlol indicates thatthe
<br />discrimination may affect persons other than the cgnplatnant,
<br />such corrective action shall include such other persons. Upon
<br />completion of each investigation, the contractor will Worm

<br />6. Training and Promotion:
<br />a. The contractor will assist in foaling, qualifying, and
<br />increasing the skills of minorities and women who are
