It is our belief that with greater transparency, equity, and trust this resolution will create a prosperous business climate
while nurturing downtown development that is healthy, vibrant, and diverse.
We believe in the right of our businesses to remain and thrive in Santa Ana and to be safe of any unintended consequences of
development or any obstacles to maintaining a business friendly environment.
We believe in the resolution to establish the name designation La Calle Cuatro Marketplace for Fourth Street, this name
commemorating the history of the Latino contribution to this district for over 50 years. We believe in maintaining streets that are safe,
accessible, active in transportation needs, that include walking and biking, and a Complete Streets infrastructure that will not displace
Latino Cultural or any other minority owned businesses or residents within our city.
We believe in the need to promote and incentivize our community in healthy food production grown locally. This will be done with
business support of the community's development of gardens throughout our city and high yield Micro -Farms to be established with
the cities support through access to vacant lots and underutilized land throughout the city of Santa Ana.
We believe in the need to create partnerships between Associations, Community Groups and Residents, recognizing that it is in this
relationship with community, that La Calle Cuatro Marketplace and the Greater Business District will build strong rapport and loyalty
in our customers. Through strengthening community relationships we become a stronger and more vibrant downtown, affirming the
cultural relevance of the people in Santa Ana and its greater inclusion of all people who visit and work, as well as spend time in a
downtown that is pleasant, affordable and accessible to all.
We support the recent findings of the Wellness District Market Study report, conducted by the Next Practice that describes a Latino
Revival Scenario market strategy for the downtown, stating that the greatest demand in the downtown is for wellness goods and
services and that the largest purchasing power is in the Latino resident of the surrounding central Santa Ana neighborhoods, not to the
exclusion of our workers, visitors. This "Latino Revival" strategy will bring a projected 132 million dollars more into our downtown
district out ranking the "Tourism" and "Post -Latino" strategy by far and making the most economic sense for Santa Ana.
We support the proposed Wellness District Resolution and believe the following:
• The Economic Revitalization of La Calle Cuatro Marketplace and the Downtown Business District will establish Santa
Ana as a destination where people come for Shopping, Food, Health, Art, Entertainment and Culture , making it
foremost as a pleasant experience for families, couples, youth and elders.
• City wide formalized programing of events that are culturally relevant and accessible for all in Santa Ana will not only
attract residents , city workers, regional and extra regional visitors, tourists to the Downtown and La Calle Cuatro but
will also reactivate the economy building on former develoment that is already strong within our city.
• Designating La Calle Cuatro memorializes and affirms the Latina history past and present which has sustained this
downtown foro ver 50 years.
Community -run Micro -Farms will replace vacant lots to provide affordable, local, healthy food for residents and
restaurants creating food security for the city and workforce investments for residents.
Reviving the economy in the Downtown Commercial District and La Calle Cuatro will not only impaet the businesses
but will have a ripple affect, positively affecting our schools, churches and residents thoughout the city as well as
workers, visitor and tourist that will desire to share this flourishing destinantion with us.
The Revival of the economy of La Calle Cuatro and the Downtown Commercial District will create prosperity for all.
We the businesses and employees within La Calle Cuatro Marketplace believe that through this Health and Wellness
Resolution our businesses, residents and visitors Will All Revive, Survive, and Thrive Together.
Business Name:
Address: 0 Q, P , 4 Phone: 704
I am a business
Firma:
Text (Yes -or NO)
in SantaApa _' ❑ I am an employee in Santa Ana
