MKM 7000 Console Alias Manager <br />(CAM) <br />3,23 Fault Management of MKM <br />7000 and MCC 7100/7500 <br />Link <br />1. DESCRIPTION <br />This test will demonstrate that the link status <br />between MKM 7000 and MCC 7100/7500 is <br />monitored and fault managed by the Unified <br />Event Manager (UEM). <br />This test will also demonstrate that the MKM 7000 <br />and MCC 7100/7500 both monitor the link status <br />between them. <br />SETUP <br />A standalone (not cohabed) MKM 7000 server is <br />connected and communicating normally with an <br />MCC 7100/7500 Console. <br />The console user is configured to use local alias <br />service. <br />VERSION #1.050 <br />city of Santa Ana <br />MCC7500 P25 Dispatch Migration and Subscribers <br />0 Motorola Solutions Confidential Restricted <br />2. TEST <br />Step 1. The console user logs into CONSOLE -1 <br />and verifies that MCC 7100/7500's <br />synchronization status with MKM 7000 <br />server is OK, as indicated by a green <br />check mark on the "system status" <br />screen. <br />Step 2. Log into the MKM 7000 GUI and verify <br />the connection to MCC 7100/7500 Is up <br />and running under Connected Consoles <br />tab. <br />Step 3. Unplug the connection cable between <br />MKM 7000 and MCC 7100/7500 and <br />verify that the UEM shows link failure <br />between MKM 7000 and MCC <br />7100/7500. Also verify the change of link <br />status shows up on MKM 7000 GUI's <br />Connected Consoles tab and MCC <br />7100 /7500's "system status" screen <br />Step 4. Restore the connection cable between <br />MKM 7000 and MCC 7100/7500 and <br />verify that the UEM shows link failure <br />between MKM 7000 and MCC <br />7100/7500 has recovered. Also verify <br />the change of link status shows up on <br />MKM 7000 GUI's Connected Consoles <br />tab and MCC 7100 /7500's "system <br />status" screen. <br />Step 5.
