Adopt a resolution approving Conditional Use Permit No. 2014 -51. <br />2. Adopt a resolution approving Conditional Use Permit No. 2015 -10 as conditioned. <br />Reauest of ADDlicant <br />Brett Engstrom, representing Truth and Alchemy, Inc., is requesting approval of a conditional use <br />permit (CUP) for a Type 47 Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) license upgrade to allow the on- <br />premise sale and consumption of beer, wine, and distilled spirits at the Gypsy Den restaurant, <br />located at 125 North Broadway, Unit D. In addition, the applicant is requesting approval of a <br />separate conditional use permit that would allow the restaurant to operate until 2:00 a.m. <br />Establishments that sell alcoholic beverages and that wish to operate between 12:00 midnight and <br />7:00 a.m, require respective conditional use permits pursuant to Section 41 -2007 of the Santa Ana <br />Municipal Code (SAMC). <br />Project Location and Site Description <br />The applicant is currently operating a full service, sit -down restaurant within the Historic Grand Central <br />Arts Building. The building is located on the southeast corner of Broadway and Second Street in the <br />Downtown area of the City. The Gypsy Den occupies 2,800 square feet of an existing 42,183 - square <br />foot, two -story building that contains commercial uses on the ground floor and residential uses on the <br />second story. Parking is provided in multiple parking structures, surface lots, and metered street <br />parking throughout Downtown. The site is surrounded by commercial uses to the west, north, east, <br />and to the south (Exhibits 1, 2 and 3). <br />EXHIBIT A <br />31A-3 <br />
