Mortgage Lending Practices <br />The Team will analyze and describe the lending policies, requirements and practices <br />of financial institutions and the access to home loans for ethnic minorities of all <br />income groups. <br />Review Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA) data, including FHA /VA loans, <br />conventional home purchase loans, housing refinance loans and home <br />improvement loans. For each city and the regional as a whole, the following <br />examples of HMDA data will be analyzed. The analysis will be conducted to <br />highlight the frequency and type of loans requested, the approval and denial <br />rates by racial /ethnic groups and by geographic area (census tract level): <br />1. Disposition of Conventional Home Purchase Loan Applications by Race/ <br />Ethnicity of Applicant <br />2. Approval /Denial Rates for Conventional Home Purchase Loans by Race/ <br />Ethnicity and Income of Applicant <br />3. Disposition of Conventional Home Purchase Loan Applications by Top Ten <br />Lending Institutions <br />4. Comparison of Conventional and Government - Backed Home Purchase Loan <br />Applications <br />5. Comparison of Conventional Home Purchase Loan Applications by <br />Census Tract <br />6. Disposition of Conventional Home Improvement Loan Applications by Race/ <br />Ethnicity of Applicant <br />7, Approval /Denial Rates for Conventional Home Improvement Loans by Race/ <br />Ethnicity and Income of Applicant <br />8. Comparison of Conventional and Government- Backed Home Improvement <br />Loan Applications <br />9.
