EXEMPT FROM FEES PURSUANT <br />TO GOVERNMENT CODE § 6103 <br />07/23/15 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2015 -XX <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE HISTORIC RESOURCES <br />COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING <br />HISTORIC RESOURCES COMMISSION APPLICATION <br />NO. 2015 -06 TO PLACE THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT <br />2126 NORTH HELIOTROPE DRIVE, SANTA ANA, ON THE <br />HISTORICAL REGISTER AND APPROVING HISTORIC <br />REGISTER CATEGORIZATION NO. 2015 -06 PLACING <br />SAID PROPERTY WITHIN THE KEY CATEGORY <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HISTORIC RESOURCES COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The Historic Resources Commission of the City of Santa Ana <br />hereby finds, determines and declares as follows: <br />A. On July 23, 2015, the Historic Resources Commission held a duly noticed <br />public hearing for the placement on the Santa Ana Register of Historical <br />Properties (Historic Resources Commission Application No. 2015 -06) and <br />categorization (Historic Resources Commission Categorization No. 2015- <br />06) of the Bolton House, located at 2126 North Heliotrope Drive, Santa <br />Ana. <br />B. The Bolton House has distinctive architectural features of the Ranch style <br />with horizontal massing, full length porch, and ports cochere, and was <br />built in 1953 for Oral Leslie and Opal Bolton. Oral was a realtor and was <br />well established in the community, participated in local elections and won <br />a silver cup at a Realtors' golf tournament at the Santa Arta Country Club. <br />C. This home qualifies for Iisting on the Santa Ana Register of Historical <br />Properties and is eligible for categorization as Key because it possesses <br />"distinctive architectural style and quality ". <br />D. Character- defining features of the Bolton House that should be preserved <br />include, but may not be limited to, materials and finishes (stucco and wood <br />roofing), cross gabled roof configuration and open rafter tails, oversized <br />picture windows, brick chimney and porte- cochere. <br />E. The legal owners of the subject property is Judi Bailey, trustee of the Judi <br />Bailey Trust. <br />The legal description for the subject property is attached hereto as Exhibit <br />A and incorporated by this reference as though fully set forth herein. <br />Resolution No. 2015 -XX <br />25D -104 Page 1 of 4 <br />
