)) TRITECH <br />SOFTWARE SYSTEMS <br />Inform RMS System Planning Document <br />This document covers a diverse set of topics ranging from product architecture information, <br />approval for Microsoft platforms, security and support communications, system component <br />hardware and third party software and system restart checklists. This is intended as the primary <br />reference point for system administrators and system planners. This information includes <br />previously released information from a variety of documents including the Site Preparation <br />Guide and Support Connectivity Guide and the Platform Planning Document. <br />In many cases, more detailed information is listed in product documentation and release notes <br />and may change from version to version. <br />This document will be updated periodically and made available to all customers. <br />This document supersedes all previous versions of the Site Preparation Guide and Support <br />Connectivity Guide, Site Preparation Guide or Site Prep Guide issued by TriTech. These <br />documents are referenced by TriTech license agreements. This document also supersedes all <br />previous versions of the Platform Planning Document. <br />1.1 Inform RMS Overview <br />An Inform RMS system operates across multiple software tiers and server -based environments. <br />Physically, these are deployed across the following components: <br />• Inform RMS Database Server <br />• Inform RMS Web Server <br />The Inform RMS System operates through the interaction of several applications, software <br />services and database components that are spread across a multi -tier architecture. These <br />applications, services and components can be distributed in two different configurations. <br />• One server for the Inform RMS Database Tier and the Inform RMS Web Tier <br />Two servers; one server for the Inform RMS Database Tier and one server for the Inform <br />RMS Web Tier <br />Note: For RMS systems greater than 100 concurrent users, the database tier and the web tier <br />Page 4 of 25 <br />Proprietary Information.
