Chapter 3 - System Components <br />12.2 APPROVED WINDOWS SERVER AND CITRIX VERSIONS <br />TriTech has approved the following versions of Citrix XenApp for Inform CAD version 5.7. <br />Inform Version <br />Windows Server <br />Version (32 bit or 64 <br />bit) <br />Citrix Server Version <br />Citrix Client <br />Version <br />Inform CAD 5.7 <br />Windows Server 2008 <br />Citrix XenApp 6.5 Enterprise or <br />Clients 12.3 <br />R2 Enterprise Edition <br />Platinum Edition Hotfix Rollup <br />SP1 <br />Pack 1 <br />Windows Server 2008 <br />Enterprise SP2 <br />Currently Testing <br />Windows Server 2008 <br />Citrix XenApp 7.6 Enterprise or <br />Receiver 4.2 <br />but not yet certified <br />R2 SPl <br />Platinum Edition <br />Windows Server 2012 <br />R2 <br />h does not currently support the use of Citrix with PowerPhone CACH, or Pictometry. <br />for installation and configuration instructions. <br />Citrix is licensed by the workstation with each workstation needing a license for both Citrix XenApp Server and <br />Windows Terminal Server 2008 CALS/Remote Desktop Services 2012 CALS (Citrix runs "on top" of Terminal <br />Server). Each workstation also will need an Inform CAD license. <br />12.3 INFORM CAD CITRIX SCALABILITY <br />The scalability of Citrix with Inform CAD was tested for 1) the number of workstations that can be supported per <br />Citrix Server and 2) the per workstation bandwidth needed to communicate with the Citrix Server. <br />The approved Inform CAD Citrix Server (with the specifications listed below) supports 8-12 Inform <br />workstations for a small to medium size site. Large Sites should adjust the number of workstations down to (5-8) <br />and test the configuration before implementing. Large Sites should test the configuration under load before <br />implementing and adjust the number of workstations down where applicable. <br />TriTech recommends the use of the Platinum or Enterprise Edition of Citrix XenApp in order to take advantage <br />of a setting called CPU Utilization Management. This setting prevents individual users and processes from taking <br />too much CPU at any given time. This setting is only available with the Platinum, Enterprise, and Fundamentals <br />editions of Citrix (TriTech has tested the Platinum edition). <br />Additionally, TriTech recommends that hyper -threading for processors be activated on Citrix Servers for Large <br />Systems or sites attempting to have 8 or more simultaneous users. <br />12.4INFORM CAD CITRIX BANDWIDTH REQUIREMENTS -WORKSTATIONS <br />The bandwidth needed to operate CAD in this configuration is a minimum of 128Ikbps (bandwidth) per Citrix <br />Inform client.
