"Irrigation Management Efficiency" or "IMF" means the measurement used to calculate the <br />irrigation efficiency of the irrigation system for a landscaped project. A 90% IME can be <br />achieved by using evaportranspiration controllers, soil moisture sensors, and other methods that <br />will adjust irrigation run times to meet plant water needs. <br />"Irrigation efficiency" or "IE" means the measurement of the amount of water beneficially used <br />divided by the amount of water applied to a landscape area. Irrigation efficiency is derived from <br />measurements and estimates of irrigation system characteristics and management practices. The <br />minimum average irrigation efficiency for purposes of these Guidelines is 0.71. Greater <br />irrigation efficiency can be expected from well designed and maintained systems. The landscape coefficient is derived to estimate water loss from irrigated <br />landscape areas and special landscape areas. <br />"Landscape Documentation Package" means the package of documents that a project applicant <br />is required to submit to the City pursuant to Section 2.1 of these Guidelines. <br />"Landscape Installation Certificate of Completion" means the certificate included as Exhibit F <br />of these Guidelines that must be submitted to the City pursuant to Section 23(a)(1) of hereof. <br />"Landscape professional" means a licensed landscape architect, licensed landscape contractor, <br />or any other person authorized to design a landscape pursuant to Sections 5500.1, 5615, 5641, <br />5641.1, 5641.2, 5641.3, 5641.4, 5641.5, 5641.6, 6701, 7027.5 of the California Business and <br />Professions Code, Section 832.27 of Titlel6 of the California Code of Regulations, and Section <br />6721 of the California Food and Agriculture Code. <br />"Landscape area" means all the planting areas, turf areas, and water features in a landscape <br />design plan subject to the Maximum Applied Water Allowance and Estimated Applied Water Use <br />calculations.
