Attachment A <br />PROGRAM NARRATIVE <br />General Description of Program Activities: <br />2015 -DJ -BX -0225 <br />The Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) funds will be utilized to support a <br />broad range of activities to prevent and control crime within the County of Orange. The County <br />of Orange has been certified disparate; therefore, this joint application includes ten units of local <br />government for which the applicant and fiscal agent is the County of Orange. <br />The JAG funds will be utilized for the program/purpose areas outlined in the grant solicitation. <br />The ten units of local government in the jurisdiction will utilize the funds for law enforcement, <br />local initiatives, technical assistance, strategic planning, research and evaluation, data collection, <br />personnel, equipment, forensic laboratories, supplies, contractual support and information <br />systems for program areas. The JAG fiords support all components of the criminal justice <br />system, from multi - jurisdictional drug and gang task forces to crime prevention programs, <br />prosecution and court, corrections, drug treatment and enforcement and technology <br />improvements. <br />Page 1 of 22 <br />
