Administrative Plan 4/1/16 Page 2-4 <br />Upon receipt of a housing discrimination complaint, SAHA is required to: <br />• Provide written notice of the complaint to those alleged and inform the complainant that such <br />notice was made <br />• Investigate the allegations and provide the complainant and those alleged with findings <br />and either a proposed corrective action or an explanation of why corrective action is <br />not warranted <br />• Keep records of all complaints, investigations, notices, and corrective actions <br />[Notice PIH 2014-20] <br />SAHA Policy <br />Applicants or participants who believe that they have been subject to unlawful discrimination <br />may notify SAHA either orally or in writing. <br />SAHA will attempt to remedy discrimination complaints made against SAHA. <br />SAHA will provide a copy of a discrimination complaint form to the complainant and <br />provide them with information on how to complete and submit the form to HUD’s Office of <br />Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity (FHEO). <br />SAHA will refer applicants/participants to the Orange County Legal Aid Society, Orange <br />County Fair Housing Council, or other non-profit agencies for assistance with Fair Housing <br />issues that are outside of our authority. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />3-60
