w Storm Drain Master Pura <br />Pisses 2 RPff No. 76 -02 <br />John McCarthy, PE, CPM I Principal -in- Charge <br />Mr. McCarthy is experienced in the development, final design, <br />and construction of flood control and drainage projects for public <br />works and private sector projects. His experience is concentrated <br />in the field of stormwater management, including: hydrology <br />studies, floodplain analysis, drainage master plan studies and <br />runoff management plans, detailed hydraulic analyses, and <br />improvement plan preparation. He has prepared stormwater <br />runoff and drainage master plans for public and private sector <br />clients, including the cities of Irvine, Tustin, Yucaipa, Victorville, <br />and Azusa; counties of Orange, Riverside, and Ventura; and <br />various private sector clients throughout California. Mr. McCarthy <br />specializes in the development of complex flood control and <br />runoff management solutions for both public and private sector <br />projects. He also has extensive experience in flood control and <br />storm drain facility design, including flood channels, storm drain pipes, debris and detention basins, <br />and ecosystem restoration projects. <br />Relevant Experience includes: <br />Santa Ana Storm Drain Master Plan, Santa Ana, California. City of Santa Ana. Principal in <br />Charge. Responsibilities included project team and resource management oversight for the update <br />the city's storm drain master plan. The city has an established drainage system with some segments <br />over 50 years old and other segments recently constructed. Michael Baker analyzed the main line <br />drainage system and prepared a hydrology study along with maps for the entire city boundary and for <br />individual sub -areas for 2 -, 10 -, 25 -, and 100 -year storm events. The capacity of the existing storm <br />drainage was evaluated to determine system capacity sufficiency using a hydrodynamic hydraulic <br />model. A comprehensive list of needed storm drainage improvements was then generated. Michael <br />Baker performed a hydraulic analysis to size sufficient storm drain lines and provided an ESRI <br />ARCGIS geodatabase of city storm drain facilities, including storm drain pipes, city -owned drainage <br />channels, manholes, catch basins, and culverts. Michael Baker used the Bentley software <br />hydrodynamic hydraulic model CivilStorm, which uses hydrographs with in the hydraulic model to <br />determine adequate pipe sizing. <br />Drainage Master Plan, Redlands, California. City of Redlands. Principal -In- Charge. Responsible <br />for overseeing project. Michael Baker developed a drainage master plan for the city to update its <br />drainage infrastructure and to identify regional drainage solutions to the city's flooding issues. Michael <br />Baker's services included hydraulic modeling, planning, best management practice (BMP) <br />identification and evaluation, and stakeholder coordination. <br />Master Plan of Drainage Update, Yucaipa, California. City of Yucaipa. Principal -In- <br />Charge. Responsible for project management for engineering services to update the city's drainage <br />master plan. The update included the development of new hydrologic calculation of peak flow rates <br />along Wilson and Wildwood Creeks with the City limits. The update included the incorporation of <br />existing and future stormwater detention basins proposed for the watersheds.
