moire, k` <br />M01I1 i► Hi7• 61114 C7111 101 Lis ONW11 <br />This Federal Consultation Review has been prepared to supplement the <br />Environmental Impact Report/Environmental Assessment prepared for the Mid <br />Basin Centennial Park Injection Well Project to meet requirements established by <br />the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for the State Revolving Loan Program <br />administered by the State Water Resources Control Board, The analysis <br />incorporates by reference technical Studies prepared for the Mid Basin <br />Centennial Park Injection Well Project Environmental Impact <br />Report/Environmental Assessment. <br />8.2 Project <br />The Proposed Project involves the construction of four underground injection <br />wells at Centennial Park and a below ground monitoring well at the Heritage <br />Museum. The water supply to the injection wells would be recycled water from <br />OCWD GWRS water treatment plant in Fountain Valley. An underground pipeline <br />would be constructed that would extend from the GWRS water supply pipeline to <br />Centennial Park and then would branch off to the four injection well sites. When <br />in operation the four injection wells would provide up to 12 MGD of additional <br />groundwater recharge capacity to the Orange County Groundwater Basin. To <br />monitor water quality in the area, a monitoring well has been proposed at the <br />Heritage Museum. <br />The Centennial Park Injection Wells project involves six construction activities. <br />These activities include: <br />• Construction of Water Supply Pipeline <br />• Construction of Back Flush Pipeline <br />• Drilling and Construction of Injection Wells at Centennial Park <br />• Construction of Power and Communication Systems <br />• Repaving of Centennial Park Parking Lot <br />• Site Improvements and Drilling and Construction of a Monitoring Well at <br />Heritage Museum <br />Construction of Water Supply Pipeline <br />Each of the four injection wells would require a pipeline connection to deliver <br />water to the injection well.
