Other Post -Employment Benefit Programs of the City of "" <br />Actuarial Valuation as of July 1, 2015 <br />Table 3A <br />Summary of Retiree (Benefit Provisions <br />OPER provided: The City has indicated that the only OPEB provided are medical and life <br />insurance coverage, or, in some cases, an HSA contribution toward medical coverage of the <br />retiree's choosing. <br />Access to coverage: Medical coverage is currently provided through CaIPERS as permitted <br />under the Public Employees' Medical and Hospital Care Act (PEMHCA). <br />Medical benefits provided b the City: The Cit ` <br />p y y y provides retiree medical benefits, as <br />defined in PEMHCA resolutions and in various bargaining or 06J,ployment,agreements. <br />For aH retirees covered by a Ca/PERS medical plan regardless of age or bargaining <br />group: The City contributes the Minimum Employer Contribrltdli (MEC) for all retirees <br />who retain coverage in the City's medical plan in accorda,tce, w4h cPEMHCA <br />requirements and the City's current PEMHCA restitutions, The MEGJs $1;22 per month <br />in 2015 and increases to $125 per month':In.2016.2'' <br />For retirees who satisfy the requirements described below, the City provides higher <br />benefits.
