EXHIBIT A — SCOPE OF WORK <br />PROJECT NAME: Demolition of Three Single - Family Dwellings <br />PROJECT LOCATION: 710, 714 and 720 E. 6'h Street, Santa Ana, CA 92701 <br />OWNER: City of Santa Ana <br />Contact: Ray Urette (714) 667.2256 <br />GENERAL CONDITIONS <br />1. CONTRACTOR is responsible for obtaining all required permits. Permits fees will be paid by the <br />City of Santa Ana. <br />2. CONTRACTOR is responsible for contact Dig Alert prior to commencing the demolition. <br />3. CONTRACTOR shall comply with all applicable SCAQMD Rules and Regulations. <br />4. CONTRACTOR shall execute the work In accordance with the safety provisions of applicable laws <br />and the building codes including but not limited to Title 8, CCR Section 1529.Asbestos and <br />1532.1.Lead. <br />5. CONTRACTOR shall be responsible for any damages to property and /or Injuries to persons as a <br />result of their execution of the work. <br />6. CONTRACTOR shall protect all surrounding material, equipment, furnishings from damage during <br />the course of the work. CONTRACTOR shall (at their own time and expense) repair and /or replace <br />any materials; equipment and furnishings that are damaged as a result of their execution of the work. <br />7. CONTRACTOR Is responsible for obtaining any required permits and for paying any required fees. <br />EQUIPMENT EMISSIONS STANDARDS <br />CONTRACTOR is responsible for ensuring that all on -site construction equipment meets EPA Tier 2 or higher <br />emissions standards according to the following: All off -road diesel - powered construction equipment greater <br />than 50 hp shall meet Tier 2 off -road emissions standards. In addition, all construction equipment shall be <br />outfitted with best available control technology (" BACT ") devices certified by the California Air Resources <br />Board ( °CARB "), Any emissions control device used by the CONTRACTOR shall achieve emissions <br />reductions that are no less than what could be achieved by a Level 2 or Level 3 diesel emissions control <br />strategy for similarly sized engine as defined by CARB regulations. <br />HAZARDOUS MATERIALS <br />CONTRACTOR is responsible for thoroughly examining the lead and asbestos attached as Attachment Al and <br />Attachment A2. CONTRACTOR assumes full responsibility for compliance with all federal, state and local <br />regulations regarding the removal and disposal of all hazardous materials. <br />SIGNATURE <br />DATE <br />must be signed and included in the proposal.
