EXHIBIT A <br />Appenlux <br />ATTacxlvE �NT i <br />SCOPE Oki WORK <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS <br />FOR <br />CONSTRUCTION ENGINEERING SERVICES <br />FOR <br />SANTA ANA-DELHI CHANNEL DIVERSION <br />RFP'NO.:16-090 <br />A. DESCRIPTION <br />The, City desires to engage a professional consultant to perform construction engineering service for the Santa <br />Ana -Delhi Channel Diversion project. The Consultant shall provide an individual to act as Resident Engineer <br />or construction inspector and serve as an extension of City staff to assist the City in managing construction, <br />ensure that the work to be completed in accordance with the contract documents and respond directly to the <br />City of Santa Ana Construction Manager or his authorized representative, City staff will manage the <br />construction of the project and oversee the work of the Resident Engineer/inspector, <br />S, SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />The required services shall include, but not be limited to, the following: <br />1, The Resident Engineer/Inspector may be a registered engineer in the State of California and <br />shall represent the City Construction Engineer in the field. <br />2. Attend pre -construction meeting. May schedule and conduct weekly construction and progress <br />meetings to discuss such matters as procedures, progress, problems and scheduling, May prepare <br />and promptly distribute minutes, <br />31 May review construction schedule, including activity sequences and duration, schedule of <br />submittals and schedule of delivery for products with long lead time. Update the project <br />schedule as required to show current conditions and revisions required by actual progress. <br />4. May conduct comprehensive evaluation of change order req}tests, provide independent <br />estimates, render recommendations and assist in claim resolution. <br />5, Monitor the contractor's safety program, 'fake necessary steps to ensure the job site conditions <br />are in cornplian.ce with OSIJA regulations. <br />6.
