Studies have been conclusive that in order to maintain the
integrity, safety, and value of properties, and that includes what tenants call "home," rent control has no business
interfering with business, jobs, and development in Santa Ana. The more responsible and long-lasting solution is to build
more affordable workforce housing, Section 8, and more affordable conventional rental housing units. Through parts of
California where rent control has been put into play, buildings, business, and tenants have suffered as the properties are
adversely affected. Therefore, we strongly oppose rent control in any form and maintain that other more long-term
housing plans be pursued.
Sincerely,
Western Consolidated Equities,
(714)630-3580
