State
CaliforniaCaliforniaā€”TheResourcesAgency Primary
DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION HRI #
CONTINUATION SHEET Trinomial
Page 4 of 4 Resource Name or # (Assigned by recorder) 2432 North Riverside Drive
*Recorded by Brian Matuk *Date September 8, 2017 O Continuation ā¯‘ Update
limited to: materials and finishes (stucco); roof configuration, materials, and treatment; massing and composition;
fenestration (doors and windows); and architectural detailing (half timbering, brick quoining).
(See Continuation Sheet 4 of 4.)
*1310. Significance (continued):
Despite being owned by Samuel M. Davis, the house does not appear to rise to the level of significance under Criterion 4.b.
Although evidence shows that Davis was an important figure in Orange County, and served as the Orange County District
Attorney from 1907-1910, Davis is also associated with the house at 1225 French Street in Santa Ana, which he occupied
during this significant period of his career, and is better associated with this facet of his career. Additionally, Davis lived at a
house at 120 West 1 e Street (now demolished) between his tenure as District Attorney and association with the house at
2432 North Riverside Drive.
*1312.
