recommendation

the City Council at a

What is the
Proposed?---The
City of Santa Ana is
requesting approval
of Zoning Ordinance
Amendment (ZOA)
No.2019-02 to amend
several sections of
Chapter 41 (Zoning)
of the Santa Ana
Municipal Code
(SAMC).The
proposed ordinance
amendment
establishes zoning
regulations and local
control on group
living facilities in
residential and
commercial zoning
districts,and
establishes
definitions for the
various types of
group living
facilities,identifies
zoning districts
where such facilities
are allowed,creates
review processes for
all types of group
living facilities and
establishes
separation
requirements for
certain facilities in
order minimize the
possible secondary
impacts on the
community and
overconcentration of
such facilities.
Environmental
Impact ---In
accordance with the
California Quality
Environmental Act
(CEQA),the
proposed project is
exempt pursuant to
CEQA Guidelines
Section 15061(b)(3)-
No Significant
Effect on the
Environment.
