The City of Santa
Ana encourages the
public to
participate in the
decision-making
process.This notice
is being provided so
that you can ask
questions,make
comments and stay
informed about
projects that might
be important to
you.We encourage
you to contact us
prior to the Public
Hearing if you have
any questions.
Planning
Commission Action
:The Planning
Commission will
hold a Public
Hearing to receive
public testimony,
and will take action
on the item
described below.
Their
recommendation
will be forwarded
the City Council for
final determination
at a later date.

Proposed Project:
The City of Santa
Ana is requesting
approval of Zoning
Ordinance
Amendment No.
2019-04 to amend
several sections of
Chapter 41 (Zoning)
of the Santa Ana
Municipal Code
prohibiting (1)cyber
cafés as a permitted
use and (2)
establishing
development and
operation standards
for laundromats
citywide.
Environmental
Impact:In
accordance with the
California
Environmental
Quality Act (CEQA),
the project is
exempt from further
environmental
review pursuant to
CEQA Guidelines
Section 15061(b)(3).
The exemption
applies to projects
covered by the
general rule that
CEQA applies only
to projects that have
the potential for
causing a significant
effect on the
environment.The
activity is not
subject to CEQA as
it can be seen with
certainty that there
is no possibility that
this code
amendment may
have a significant
effect on the
environment.Based
on this analysis,
Notice of
Exemption,
Environment
Review No.2019-68
will be filed upon
adoption of this
ordinance.
