COUNTYWIDE PUBLIC FINANCING AUTHORITY
1996 REVENUE BONDS
WRITTEN REQUEST OF THE AUTHORITY TO TRUSTEE
The undersigned hereby states and certifies:
(i) that he is the duly appointed, qualified and acting Treasurer of the Countywide
Public Financing Authority,a joint powers authority duly organized and existing under the laws
of the State of California (the "Authority"), and as such, is familiar with the facts herein
certified and is authorized and qualified to certify the same;
(ii) that he is a duly designated "Authorized Representative" of the Authority,as such
term is defined in that certain Indenture of Trust, dated as of July 1, 1996 (the "Indenture"), by
and between U.S. Trust Company of California, N.A., as trustee (the "Trustee") and the
Authority; and
(iii) that, pursuant to Section 3.01 of the Indenture, the Trustee is requested to
authenticate the bonds issued by the Authority designated "Countywide Public Financing
Authority 1996 Revenue Bonds", dated July 31, 1996, in the aggregate principal amount of
$27,725,000 (the "Bonds"), substantially in the form attached as Exhibit A to the Indenture, and
to deliver the Bonds to or upon the order of Stone & Youngberg LLC, as underwriter (the
"Underwriter"), upon receipt on the date hereof by the Trustee of the purchase price of the
Bonds pursuant to the Bond Purchase Agreement, dated July 16, 1996, by and between the
Underwriter,and the Authority.
