PUBLIC COMMENT – PLEASE READ ALOUD DURING PUBLIC COMMENTS PART OF HEARING
Good Evening Chairman and Planning Commission Representatives,
My name is David Lawhorn and I am the Training Director for the Orange County Electrical
Apprenticeship program located here in Santa Ana at 717 S. Lyon Street.
I would like to show our support for the One Broadway Plaza Project on the agenda tonight.
This project will create many skilled trades jobs which would include many of our 400+
Electrical Apprentices who attend classes here in Santa Ana and are students with the Rancho
Santiago College District. This project would also become a flagship building in Santa Ana
leading the way utilizing the latest technology making it a highly efficient building. With the
City looking towards the future with the OC Streetcar project in this area, a project like this will
only enhance the downtown area which has led to revival of the downtown area.
Again, we are asking for your support and recommendation to approve this project.
