I think we have been here 12 years, now, but I have had a business in Santa Ana, since 1980. We have no problem with the plan for 515 Dyer Road. But we do have a concern about traffic on Halladay and Goetz. Goetz dead ends at Halladay and we have had probably 3-4 accidents a year on that corner, maybe more. People coming from Dyer down Halladay think it is a drag strip. I've radared cars going 70 plus MPH on Halladay. Just pulling out of our driveway is dangerous. But people turning left from Goetz on to Halladay is where the accidents happen. Many years ago, I taught ESL at Madison Elementary, on Standard and Edinger. One night, one of my students was killes crossing the street to go to night school. Santa Ana installed a traffic light soon after that. I had a friend get killed, three months ago, pulling out of his shop's driver way, he was "T-Boned" by a speeder. I would assume that there will be more traffic once 515 gets up and going. I'd love to see a stop light at Goetz and Halladay. But next best would be a stop sign. Thank you for all you do for Santa Ana. This is a good city! Sincerely, Ron Hill Partner at Hill Marine.
