Subject: Delay the General Plan Process until 2021
Dear Santa Ana Planning Commission,
I am a life-long resident of this city, currently residing in Ward 3. I am writing to urge you to
delay the General Plan process until 2021. Many of us are concerned and scared about thecountless health and safety issues that have perpetually gone unaddressed within our city. It is
reckless and dangerous to push through a plan that fails to create a solution for varioushazards, including a lead crisis, toxic contamination of our air, and a gross lack of green space
in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. Are you aware that childhood lead exposure hasproven to be a factor in criminal behavior later in life? There are complexities and issues that
require immediate attention and carefully planned action! We demand a saferenvironment city-wide, and so far, the ill equipped general plan continues to neglect the well-
being of our city's residents. Please delay the general plan process until 2021!
