Position: Support Item #21
Honarable Mayor and members of the City Council,
I ask for your support on Item #21. The South Main Street Corridor Improvement Project is a major
infrastructure investment project in one of the oldest corridors in the City that has not received infrastructure
investment to this degree in decades. This is evident with the findings that our old pipes and electrical systems
are at dangerous levels of failing.
Approving this adjustment will provide for infrastructure (water, sewer, and electrical) that will be more
resilient to earthquakes and will provide for the demand of a much denser and more populated south Santa
Ana area.
