A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA ANA LEVYING AN ASSESSMENT FOR THE
DOWNTOWN SANTA ANA BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT
DISTRICT FOR CALENDAR YEAR 2022
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby finds, determines
and declares as follows:
A. On February 6, 1984, the City Council, by Ordinance No. NS-1715,
established the Downtown Santa Ana Business Improvement Area
pursuant to California Streets and Highways Code Sections 36500, et seq.
(the "BID Law").
B. On November 2, 2021, the City Council received the 2022 Annual
Assessment Report for the Downtown Santa Ana Business Improvement
District (the "Report').
C. On November 2, 2021, the City Council adopted Resolution 2021-063
approving the Report and setting a public hearing for December 7, 2021, at
which time protests could be made to the proposed levy of the 2022 annual
assessment for the Downtown Santa Ana Business Improvement District
(the "Annual Assessment').
D. On December 7, 2021, at the time and place called for in Resolution 2021-
063, the City Council conducted a duly noticed public hearing at which
written and oral protests to the proposed Annual Assessment were made
and considered as provided in Streets and Highways Code sections 36524
and 36525.
E. Qualifying written protests constituting a majority of the owners of the
businesses paying the Annual Assessment were not received at or before
the conclusion of the public hearing.
Section 2. The 2022 Assessment Report is hereby confirmed, and the levy of
an assessment for the calendar year 2022 in accordance with Attachment B of the Report,
a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, is hereby
approved.
