Hello,
My name is Liz Yim of M.Lovewell located at 305-103 E. 4th St. and I am writing to show my support of the
$1.5 million allocated to help downtown businesses affected by the OC Streetcar construction. However, this
amount is not enough to sustain the community for the duration of construction, and we urge the City Council to
approve more funding immediately and to hold OCTA accountable for matching funds.
For the last month, during the closure of 4th St. we have seen a significant drop in sales, about 40%. And we
still have not recovered from the last 2 years of the pandemic as we host creative workshops and classes as the
attendance for those have not returned to pre-pandemic levels. We have been in Downtown Santa Ana for
almost 6 years now and we love being in the community but we're unsure how long we'll be able to remain in
business.
