This is to certify that the interest in the real property conveyed by easement deed #8832 dated

City of Santa Ana, a charter city and municipal corporation duly organized under the Constitution
and laws of the State of California, is hereby accepted by the undersigned officer or agent on
behalf of the City Council pursuant to authority conferred by Ordinance No. NS-2352 and Section
No. 33-55 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code adopted by the City Council on June 1, 1998, in

Signing Authority of the Pastor in the Juridic Affairs of the Parish
Whereas, the parish exists and operates as a public juridic person under the care of an appointed
pastor in accordance with the Code of Canon Law;
Whereas, a parish is a certain community of the Christian faithful stably constituted in a
particular church, whose pastoral care is entrusted to a pastor under the authority of the diocesan
bishop (Can. 515 §1);
Whereas, the Catholic Cultural Centers in the Diocese of Orange in California are considered
quasi -parishes which is equivalent to a parish (Can. 516);
Whereas, the pastor (parochus) is the proper pastor (pastor) of the parish entrusted to him by the
diocesan bishop carries out the functions of teaching, sanctifying, and governing, according to
the norm of the law (Can. 519);
Whereas, a pastor must be a priest who is freely appointed by the diocesan bishop through an
official decree of appointment (Can. 521);
Whereas, a pastor must possess stability and therefore is freely appointed for a term of six years,
which can be renewed (Cann. 522-524);
Whereas, a parochial administrator is equivalent to a pastor, bound by the same duties and
possesses the same rights, but is not permitted to do anything which prejudices the rights of the
pastor or can harm parochial goods (Cann. 539-540); and

Whereas, the pastor represents the parish in all juridic affairs pertaining to the administration
and safekeeping of the ecclesiastical goods of the parish (Can. 532).
Therefore, the pastor has the proper legal signing authority for the parish entrusted to his care by
the diocesan bishop in accordance with the limits defined in the Code of Canon Law.

I. The name of the association is Our Lady of Guadalupe Church.
11. The association is an unincorporated nonprofit association legally organized
under the laws of the State of California, California Corporations Code §§ 18000, at seq.
111. The association's governing documents, pursuant to California Corporations
Code §§ 18008, are the Code of Canon Law (1983) of the Roman Catholic Church, as it.
may be amended from time to time, diocesan particular law, and in the canonical
statutes of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church as they may be enacted or amended from
time to time.
IV. The association's governing principles, pursuant to California Corporations Code
§§ 18010, are stated in the Code of Canon Law (1983) of the Roman Catholic Church
("Canon Law"), as it may be amended from time to time, diocesan particular law, and in
the canonical statutes of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church as they may be enacted or

V. The association's Interest in any real property may be acquired, transferred,
alienated, leased, hypothecated, or encumbered only in strict accordance solely with the
