Subject: 12. Agreement with the Delhi Center to Lease Space for a New Library Branch
Dear Mayor and City Council
My name is Juanita Preciado-Hernandez,a resident of Santa Ana for the past 24 years and Board President and
Interim CEO of Delhi Center. On behalf of the Delhi Center Board, I would like to express our support and enthusiasm
for the proposed City of Santa Ana New Library Branch at Delhi Center.
The repurposing and leasing of space at the Center for a library will bring much-needed resources to the Delhi
community and surrounding area.After much discussion of the proposed change with Delhi staff,meeting with the
Library staff,and presentation to the community,there is shared confidence that this addition is not only welcomed
but also needed.The library use is aligned with Delhi Center's mission to advance self-sufficiency through sustainable
programs in health, education,financial stability,and community engagement.
We look forward to this new partnership and the increased services to our Delhi community.
