Subject: Item 28 on tonights Council agenda, regarding at will development and the
proposed budget.
Dear Honorable Mayor&Councilmembers;
I am reaching out to you today regarding two items that you may address this evening............our group hopes you will
consider carefully our requests..............
The first one is Item 28 on your agenda........regarding At Will Development in the city. We believe this is not good for
the city both in the short term and long term. Further it is against public policy we believe given that it essentially
renders the entire zoning and planning process as moot. We would hope that you would not vote in favor of this
proposal. SA is well ahead of its housing quota as outlined in our RHNA numbers. This is simply bad public policy.
In addition you are in the midst of adopting the latest city budget and we strongly encourage you to NOT decrease any
level of funding for public safety and our Police Department. Given all of the challenges that our SAPID is facing.......they
need more resources, not less. Neighborhoods all over town are crying out for faster response times and more
officers......this requires money. Please don't let them down.
