THIS IS IN REGARD TO THE PARKING PERMIT SIGNS. I NEED YOU TO VOTE TO KEEP THE SIGNS AS THEY ARE.WE
HAVE A NICE COMMUNITY AND WISH TO KEEP IT THAT WAY. BEFORE WE GOT THE SIGNS ,THERE WERE CARS
BUMPER TO BUMPER ,WHICH DID NOT BELONG IN THIS COMMUNITY. THOSE INDIVIDUALS WERE NOISY,MESSY,
LEFT DIRTY DIAPERS CIGARETTE BUTTS,BEER BOTTLES CONDUMS,AND SOMETIMES NEEDLES.THE SIGNS GAVE
US OUR COMMUNITY BACK.I SAW THE CREW TAKING PICTURES OF OUR STREETS, BUT AT THAT TIME THERE
WERE A FEW CARS BECAUSE EVERYBODY HAD LEFT FOR WORK.AGAIN PLEASE VOTE TO KEEP OUR SIGNS UP,
AND KEEP OUR COMMUNITY SAFE AND PEACEFUL. THANK YOU. A RESPONSE WOULD BE APPRECIATED

Subject: Permit parking
Please leave the permit parking intact in the Meredith Parkwood neighborhood. We went through a great deal of
trouble before enactment and don't want to have to go back to that again. The condos and apartments have done
nothing to increase their parking (converting green zones) or are happy with their allocation of parking spaces
and is a result of overcrowding in units and too many cars in households. Which should not be our problem.
They not only took some of the street but ALL of the parking with no consideration to the residents and foot
traffic was at all hours of the night which made it very difficult to monitor activity in the neighborhood for
security purposes as my motion sensors were always going off. And yes we had some theft and vandalism at
that time. We finally can monitor activity and do not want to end up like Cabrillo Way across the street that
have catalytic converter thefts and car burglaries. Thieves don't like quiet neighborhoods like we have now and
we like it this way. Please leave permits as is so this will not change. Our neighborhood will stand united to
maintain our security. Thank you, Alan

Subject: Residential Parking Signs
Honorable Council Members,
I am writing to you this evening in regards to Agenda Item#4 for the Review of Parking Regulatory Signs within my
neighborhood.
Our streets experienced a greatly improved conditions with the installation of the signs. I've lived on Mirasol Street for
(15 years) and was previously subjected to all the negative effects of the first come first serve parking debacle.
I'm sure you are aware of the issues we delt with Le., litter, cars left abandoned for days, late night and early morning
noise, unattended car alarms, people sitting in their cars with tinted windows drinking and smoking. Etc.
My home is incredibly important to my family and we work very hard to maintain its appearance.
I too was once in the position of outgrowing my accommodations. Inevitably, I came to the realization it was time to
consider another course of action.
For the continued betterment of our neighborhood, I urge you to do the right thing. Supporting the continuance of the
current parking regulations is of upmost importance.

FOR OUR NEIGHBORHOODS **
Good morning,
Please be advised that the Portola Park and Meredith / Parkwood neighborhood associations are
respectfully
requesting that no change be made to our permit parking protection. We dealt with the problems of
noise, trash,
blocked driveways, speeding and a total lack of respect for our neighborhoods by the neighboring
condo owners,
their guests and neighboring apartment tenants for years.
Parking permits helped to restore our neighborhood streets back to their previous clean and quiet
status. We hope
that you honor our request as any action to remove permit parking protection for our neighborhoods
will be strongly
opposed.
