GOVERNMENT CODE §84308 APPLIES: No DISCUSSION During the 4th Quarter of 2023, the Santa Ana Police Department continued efforts towards enforcement, detention, and outreach related to substance abuse and public intoxication. Effective October 30, 2023, every misdemeanor cite-out arrestee is offered services by Santa Ana City Jail staff. Jail staff are in direct communication with City Net personnel who respond to the jail to work with anyone requesting services. During 4th Qtr 2023, SAPD added 28 individuals to the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS).
