UPPER MANAGEMENT PROGRAM Ba around With the recent findings during the Fraternal Order of Police nationwide study, we have identified and coined this current era as The Resignation Crisis in Law Enforcement. For the first time, officers report they are leaving their agencies based on how departments have made them "feel." Feelings of not being supported by the department, not protected by the department, feelings of department betrayal and hesitation with being led by dysfunctional management. This has left officers with an internal safety struggle. We are seeing for the first time, more officers leaving the profession completely or taking early retirement due to these internal struggles and feelings. As we have evolved in the mental health arena, we acknowledge the need to tear down the stigma of seeking professional help. We know about the high -risk coping mechanisms, such as divorce, addictions, financial downturns and high suicide rates that plague then law enforcement industry. But in our effort to recover from this stigma, we are losing sight of wellness at its infancy stages. For many departments, wellness has become a checkbox, not a culture shift. Programs and items are being purchased in the hopes they will "fix" our external struggles and internal pain. These "band -aid" solutions can be even more detrimental to someone who is already hurting and not seen and valued. What you need is a true professional who understands the psychology of the culture, the science, the profession and the "why" behind leadership failures and organizational dysfunctions in the industry. As an established group of culturally competent, board -certified psychologists, we understand what you need because of our work in this industry. The Solution By deploying our resident experts, including Dr. Shonna Hill, to your retreat, you will experience dynamic teaching methods and be introduced to treatments for regulating the amygdala, increasing hippocampus growth, and lowering levels of cortisol. The treatments and tools are all evidence -based and many have been adopted by military special forces for regulating stress. Participants will have opportunities for self - reflection, self -care and tribal healing. Through specialized equipping workshops, we will take a deeper dive into dysfunctions of upper management and allow space for the body of leaders to see one another at a more personal level and through a different lens. We will create the environment for brothers and sisters to repair ruptures and to connect authentically. Outside of psychoeducational workshops, the retreat facilities will deliver specially 3 crafted activities to guide participants on experia different styles of trauma treatment, brain training, and bonding. We will also help you reconcile the gap between management and the workforce you lead. Based on the PACK model, we will educate members of your leadership team about the complexities of the officers you hire and lead. This is based on current and local research data retrieved from approximately 75 Southern California police agencies. We will show you how to assess complex trauma, understand its impact on your workforce, and equip you with the skills to provide the right support. You will have the ability to provide a style of leadership that is healing and effective. A true leader inspires people. No matter the title of the badge, your people will want to follow you because they feel safe and trust you and your motives. Dr. Hill will lead you through communications workshops that will provide you with practical tools to communicate your vision and empower your workforce to execute and deliver the results of healthier leadership. Your enhanced communication skills will lead to stronger connections, as you become attuned and aligned with a clear vision that the entire department will embrace and enjoy following.
