HomeMy WebLinkAbout1338 ORDINANCE N0. 1338 ORDIN~'~CE ~DIi~G ZONING 0RDI~A!(C~ it0. 1074 ~VH~EA$, the Planning Commission of the City of Santa ann ~as given notice of public hearings as required by law in connec- tion with an application to amend the Zoning Ordinance to cover t~e properties herein described, and has duly held two public hearings upon the question of such amendment, and thereafter by Resolution N~aber ~16 recommended such amendment to the City Council for adop- tion; and ?~EREAS, the City Council gave due and regular notice of a public hearing before said body and such public hearin~ nas been duly ~nd regularly held, and the City Council does now find that public necessity and convenience and general welfare require the following ~mendment and change in the present classification of certain property hereinafter described and that the proposed uses under the proposed new classification will not be detrimental to the surrounding property; NON~ THER{FORE, THE COUNCIL 0F TI~ CITY OF S.~TA ~I~A DOES ORDAIN AS FOLL0~S: Section 1: That Sheet No. 33 of the Districting Map of the City of Santa ~na of Ordinance No. 107~ be amended to reclassify as C-2 (General Co~aercial District), all that property now classi- fied as R-2 (Limited-Multiple) Hesidence Sistrict, which said prop- erty is described as follows: PARCEL 1: That portion of Lot 1, Tract No. 905, as per map thereof recorded in ~ook 32 at page 16 of Hiscellaneous ~aps, records of Orange County, described as follows: Com- mencing at the Southwesterly corner of ~ot 2 of said tract, thence Easterly along the Southerly line of said Lot 2, 115 feet to the ~outheasterly corner of said Lot 2; thence Southerly parallel with the Westerly line of said Lot 1, 45 feet; thence Westerly parallel with the Southerly line of said Lot 2, 115 feet to the Westerly line of said Lot l; thence Northerly along said ~esterly line 45 feet to the point of beginning. PARCEL 2: ~ portion of Lot 1 of said Tract No. 905 de- scribed as: Oeginning at a point in the Westerly line of said Lot i distant thereon 45 feet Southerly from the Southwest corner of Lot 2 of said Tract No. 905, and running thence Easterly parallel with the Southerly line of said Lot 2, ll8 feet; thence Southerly, parallel with the ~esterly line of said Lot l, l0 feet; thence ~Jesterly parallel with the South- erly line of said ~ot 2, ll8 feet to the Westerly line of said Lot l; thence Northerly along said ~esterly line l0 feet to the point of beginning. That said Districting ~ap so amended be attached hereto and is hereby adopted and made a part hereof. Section 2: The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published in three issues of the Santa ~na Register, a newspaper printed, published, and circulated in the City of Santa aha, and hereby designated for that purpose. This Ordinance shall take effect 30 days from and after the day on which it is passed and adopted.
