AN ORDINANCEAPPROVING TH~ANNEXATION OF THAT
CERTAIN TERRITORY DESIGNATED "NORTH MAIN STREET
ANNEXATION"
WHt~EAS, the Council of the City of Santa Ana did, en the 2nd
day of June, 1952 by Resolution Number 52-51, declare its intention
to annex certain uninhabited territory contiguous to said City, which
said Resolution was regularly published in the Santa Ann Register,
a newspaper of general circulation printed and published in said
City, and in the Orange Daily News, a newspaper of general circula-
tion published outside of said City but in the County of Orange,
California, said publications being made once a week for two con-
secutive weeks prior to the public hearing on said proposed annexa-
tion which said public hearing was set by said Resolution for the
21st day of July, 1952; and
WHEREAS, at said hearing there were no objections to said
proposed annexation and no written protest was filed by any person
against the same;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANADOES 0R-
DAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That after due hearing regularly held upon due
notice regularly given in all respects as required by the statutes
and as hereinabove set out and in the files of this proceeding more
particularly shown, we do find, declare and ordain that there is
and was no protest nor objection, either written or oral, to the
annexation of the territory herein described to the City of Santa
Ann, that due and regular notice of the time and place of hearing
was given as required by law and that said territory is and was
wholly uninhabited and that no person lives thereon.; that said ter-
ritory was and is contiguous to the City of Santa Aha, California.
SECTION 2: That all of the uninhabited territory situated in
the County of Orange, State of California and described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the West line of Main Street
(66' wide) with the South line of Section 31, Township ~
South, Range 9 West, S.B.B. & M., said point of intersection
being an angle point in the boundary line of the City of
Santa Ann, California; thence Northerly along said boundary
line and said West line of Main Street 150 feet; thence East-
erly parallel to the South line of said Section 31 a distance
of 211.25 feet; thence Southerly parallel to the said West
lisa of Main Street 150 feet to a point in the South line of
said Section 31, said point being also a point in said boundary
line; thence Westerly along the South line of said Section
31 and said boundary line 211.25 feet to the point of begin-
ning,
be and the same is hereby annexed to and shall become a part of the
City of Santa Aha and the annexation of said territory is by this
Ordinance effected, approved, and declared, and to take effect
from and after the effective date of this Ordinance and shall be
and continue a part of said City.
SECTION 3: The City Clerk shall c~ertify to the passage of
this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published in t~ree is-
sues of the Santa Aha Register, a newspaper printed, published, and
circulated in the City of Santa ~na, and hereby designated for that
purpose. This Ordinance shall take effect 30 days from and after
the day on which it is passed and adopted.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ann at its adjourned regular meeting held om the llth day of
August , 1952.

August , 1952 and was at said meeting regularly passed and
