V,~mlEP~F_JYS, the Planning Commission of the City of Santa ~na has
given notice of public hearings as required by law in connection with
an application for change of District classification to cover the
property herein described and has duly held two public hearings upon
the Question of such change and thereafter, by Resolution No. 455
recommended such change to the City Council for adoption; and
V~Z~LEREAS, the City Council gave due and regular notice of public
hearing and such public hearing has been duly and regularly held and
the Council does now find that )ublic necessity, convenience, and
general welfare require the following amendment and change in the
present classification of the real property hereinafter described and
that the uses under the proposed new classification will not be detri-
mental to the surrounding property;

AS'FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the real property lying in the City of Santa Ann,
County of Orange, State of California described as:
That portion of Blocks 15 and 16 of the Town of
Santa ~na East, as shown on a Map recorded in Book l0
pages 43 and 44 of Niscellaneous Records of Los angeles
County, California, described as follows:
Beginning at the Northeast corner of land described in
deed to Jasper Farney and wife recorded December 12th, 194~
in Book 1286, page 492 of Official Records, said point being
distant East 80.00 feet from the intersection of the Northerly
extension of the center line of Santiago Street, as shown on
said map with the center line of Seventeenth Street; thence
East 690.00 feet along the center line of said Seventeenth
Street to the i~ortheast corner of said Lot 16; thence South
along the East line of said Lot 16 a distance of 180.00 feet;
thence West parallel to the center line of said Seventeenth
Street a distance of 690.00 feet to the Southeast corner of
said land of Jasper Farney; thence North 180.00 feet to the
poir~t of beginning,
be ~]assified from R-2 (Lzmzted-~,~ult~ple Residence District) to
(L~ultiple Family Residence District) and that Sheet Number 6 of the
Districting ~ap of Article IX of the "Santa Aha ~unicipal Code" be
amended to show such reclassification of said property.
SECTION 2: The City Olerk shall certify to the passage of this
Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published in three issues of
the Santa ~na Register, a newspaper printed, published, and circulated
in the City of Santa Aha, and hereby designated for that purpose. This
Ordinance shall take effect 30 days from and after the day on which it
is passed and adopted.
