AM 0RDIN~YCE TO AI~MD SECTION 7207.3 OF THE SANTf~ ANA
I~NiCIPAL CODE
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA A~ DOES ORDAII~ AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the ~anta Aaa ~unicioal Code be and the same
is hereby amended by amending Section 7207.3 of C~apter 2 of Article
VIIthereof to read as follows:
"SECTION 7207.3. Same. Requirements.
"T~e following improvements ara required on all new streets:
The construction of curb and sidewalk, the installation of
water, sewer and gas mains; the installation of sewer laterals
and water services from mains to curbs; purchase from t~e
Southern California Edison Company or its successor, of one of
its steel poles for each and every overhead light necessary or
required to light the streets of the tract as such lights may
be located in the tract by the City Engineer or furnish a like
number of steel poles of equal or better quality unless said
subdivider elects to and does install an ornamental lighting
system as cart of and at the same time as other street improve-
meats are installed, to be approved by the City Engineer, and
install the same to the satisfaction of said Company at the
deeignated locations; and t~e grading and paving of streets and
alleys, except that the Council may at its option, omit the re-
quirement for sidewalks where the construction of sidewalks
would not conform to the appearance of the surrounding subdi-
vided and occupied area."
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this
Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published in three issues
of the Santa Aaa Register, a newspaper 0rinted, published, and cir-
culated in the City of Santa Ann and hereby designated for that pur-
pose. This Ordinance shall take effect 30 days from and after the
day on which it is passed and adopted.

its a~Jour~e~ regular meeting held on the 30th day of Mar~h 1953.

of the City of Santa Aha; that the foregoing Ordinance was regularly
introduced and read to the said Coumoil at l~s regular meeting
held on the 16th day of March, 1953 and was again read to said
Council at its ~dJourned regular meeting on the 30th day of March,
1953 and was at said meeting regularly passed and adopted by
Oouncil by the following vote, to-wit:
