CERTAIN TERRIT--~DESIGNATED "KING STREET ANNEXATION"
Vg~EREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Aha did, on the
16th day of March, 1953 by Resolution Number 53-32, declare its i~ten-
tion to annex certain uninhabited territory contiguous to said City,
which said Resolution was regularly published in the Santa Aha Register,
a newspaper of general circulation printed and published in said City,
and in The Tustin News, a newspaper of general circulation published
outside of said City but in the County of Orange, California, said
publications being made once a week for two consecutive weeks prior
to the public hearing on said proposed annexation which said public
hearing was set by said Resolution for the 20th day of April, 1953; and
WHEREAS, at said hearing there were no objections to said proposed
annexation and no written protest was filed by any person against the
same;
NOW, THEREFORE, Th~ CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That after due hearing regularly held upon due no-
tice regularly given in all respects as required by the statutes and
as hereinabove set out and in the files of this proceeding more par-
ticularly shown, we do find, declare and ordain that there is and was
no protest nor objection, either written or oral, to the annexation
of the territory herein described to the City of Santa Aha, that due
and regular notice of the time and place of hearing was given as re-
quired by law and that said territory is and was wholly uninhabited
and that no person lives thereon; that said territory was and is con-
tiguous to the City of Santa %na, California.
SECTION 2. That all of the uninhabited territory situated in
the County of Orange, State of California is described as follows:
That portion of the Northwest Quarter of the Northwest
Quarter of Section ll, Township 5 South, Range l0 West, in
the Rancho Las Bolsas, in the County of Orange, State of
California, as indicated on Record of Survey map filed in
Book 2, page 9 of Records of Surveys of said County, de-
scribed as follows:
Beginning at the Southeast corner of land described in
deed to Carl O. Larson, et ux, recorded December 4, 1946
in Book 1503, page 412 of Official Eecords of said County,
which is on the Easterly line of said Rancho Las Bolsas;
thence South 89° 46' 30" West 779.98 feet along the Southerly
line of said Larson land to the Easterly line of the Right of
Way of the Santa Aha River through the Newbert Protection
District; thence North 34° 48' East 687.70 feet along the
Easterly line of said Right of Way; thence North 89° 46' 30"
East 683.88 feet parallel with said Southerly line to the
Easterly line of said Rancho; thence South 27° 42' 30" West
637.43 feet to the point of beginning,
be and the same is hereby annexed to and shall become a part of the
City of Santa ~na and the annexation of said territory is by this
Ordinance effected, approved, and declared, and to take effect from
and after the effective date of this Ordinance and shall be and
continue a part of said City.
SECTION 3. The 01erk of the Council shall certify to the pas-
sage of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published
within 15 days after its adoption, in one issue of the Santa Ann
Register, the official newspaper of the City. This Ordinance shall
take effect 30 days from and after the date of its final adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ann
at its regular meeting held on the 4~ day of Nay ,
1953.
