TERRITORY DESIGNATED "REVISED WEST TRACT AND SANTA ANA ACRES"
?~TEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Aha did, on the
16th day of November, 1953 by Resolution N~mber 53o159, declare its
intention to annex certain uninhabited territory contiguous to said
City, which said Resolution was regularly published in the Santa Ana
Independent, a newspaper of general circulation printed and pub-
lished in said City, and in the Tustin News, a newspaper of general
circulation published outside of said City but in the County of
Orange, California, said publications being made once a week for two
consecutive weeks prior to the public hearing on said proposed annex-
ation which said p~blic hearing was set by said Resolution for the
21st day of December, 1953; and
?~HEREAS, at said hearing there were no objections to said pro-
posed annexation and no written protest was filed by any person
against the same;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That after due hearing regularly held upon due no-
tice regularly given in all respects as required by the statutes and
as hereinabove set out and in the files of this proceedi~ more par-
ticularly shown, we do find, declere and ordain that there is and was
no protest nor objection, either written or oral, to the annexation
of the territory herein described to the City of Santa Ana, that due
end regular notice of the time and place of hearing was given as re-
quired by law and that said territory is and was wholly uninhabited
and that no person lives thereon; that said territory is contiguous
to the City of Santa Aha, California.
SECTION 2. That $11 of the uninhabited territory situated in
the County of Orange, State of California is described as follows:
The area proposed for annexation to the City of Santa Aha
consists of all the real property now known as Lot I and Lot K
of Revised West Tract, recorded in Book l, page 13 of Niscella-
neous Record Naps, Records of Orange County; also Lots 45, 46,
~7, ~8, 61, 62, 63 and 77 of Santa Aha Acres, recorded in Book
5 page 8 of Niscellaneous Naps, Orange County; and portions of
the adjoining rights of way ~nown as Edinger Street, Bristol
Street and Fairview Avenue; situated wholly within the County
of Orange, State of California and the boundary thereof is de-
scribed as follows:
Beginning at ~an

the City of Santa An at the intersection of the center lines
of Bristol Street and Wilshire Avenue, said point also being the
Northeast corner of Section 23, Township 5 South, Range l0 West,
San Bernardino Base and Neridian as shown on a map of Tract No.
1574 recorded in Book ~7 page 18 of Niscellaneous ~aps, Records
of said County; running thence Westerly along the City Limits of
the City of Santa Aha N 89° 55' 50" W 1320.00 feet following the
North line of said Tract No. 1574 to the Northwest corner there-
of, said point also being an angle point in the City Limits of
the City of Santa Aha' thence following the City Limits of the
City of Santa Aha S 08 17' 30" W 1322.50 feet along the West
line of said Tract No. 157~, and the West line of Tract No. 1508
as shown on a map thereof recorded in Book ~5 page ~0 of Nis-
cellaneous Naps, Records of said Orange County and the Southerly
extension thereof to a point in the center line of Edinger
Street as shown on said map of Tract No. 1508, said point being
an angle point in the City Limits of said City of Santa Aha;
thence departing from said City Limits of the City of Santa Aha,
N 89° 55' 50" W, 1321.92 feet along the said center line of Edin-
ger Street, to an intersection with the Southerly extension of
the west line of Lot K of said Revised West Tract; thence N 0°
01' 00" E 2672.67 feet along the west line of said Lot K and the
center line of Raitt Street as shown on a map of said Santa Aha
Acres to its intersection with the westerly extension of the
North line of Fairview Avenue as shown on said map of the Revised
West Tract as lying Northerly of Lots I and H; thence N 89° 52'
50" E, 2639.5~ feet along the Westerly extension of the said North
line of Fairview Avenue and along the said North line of Feirview
Avenue and along the Easterly extension of the said North line
Of FairviewAvenue to an intersection with the City Limits of the
City of Santa Ana, said point of intersection being s point on
the center line of Bristol Street; thence S 0° 21' 3~" E, 1358.92
feet along said center line of Bristol Street to the point of
beginning,
be and the same is here~y annexed to and shall become a part of the
City of Santa Ana snd the annexation of said territory is by this Or-
dinance effected, approved, and declared to take effect from and after
the effective date of this Ordinance and shall be and continue a part
of said City.
SECTION 3. The Cler~ of the Council shall certify to the pas-
sage of this Ordinance and shall csuse the same to be published with-
in 15 days after its adoption, in one issue of the Santa Aha Independ-
ent, the official newspaper of the City. T~is Ordinance shall take
effect 30 days from and after t~e dete of its final adoption.
