BOUNDARIES AND BY A~NDING Sb~:T NUMBERED ~ ~ ;
THE DISTRICTING MAP TO SHOW THE RECLASSIFICATiO~
~i~HEAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Santa Aha has
giv~notice of public hearings as required by law in connection with
an application for change of District classification to cover the
property herein described and other property go the East thereof, and
has duly held two public hearings upon the Question of such change and
thereafter, by Resolution No. 560-A recommended the change hereinbelow
set out and other changes to the City Council for adoption; and
WHEREAS, the City Council gave due and regular notice of public
hearing and such public hearing has been regularly held and the Coun-
cil does ~ow find that public necessity, convenience, and general wel-
fare require the following amendment and c~ange in the present classi-
fication of the real property hereinafter described and'that the uses
under the~proposed new classification will not be detrimental to the
surrounding property, and further finds that the chsnges in classifi-
cation of the property to the East of the property hereinbelow described
is unnecessary and would be against the general welfare and detrimen-
tal to surrounding property because such a change would allow C-1
uses at a busy intersection without,the assurance of standard street
improvements or any paving in'front of such businesses;
NOW, THEREFORE, ~HE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES
0RDAINAS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Tha~ the real property lying in the City of Santa
Aha, County of Orange, State of California, described as:
All that property on the North side of East 17th Street,
commencing at the intersection of East 17th and Ms in Streets,
described as follows:
Lots 9, 12, 13, Block B Wiley Addition; Lots 5, 6, 7, 8, 9
and lC, Bush Street Tract;.thence 158.4' frontage at the NE
Corner of Spurgeon and 17th Street, for a depth of 145'; thence.
East from a point 158.4' East of the intersection of Spurgeon
and 17th,~ continuing to the NW Corner of Valencia and 17th for
a depth of approximately.l$O';
ALSO all that property on the South side of E. 17th Street
commencing at the intersection of E. 17th and Main Streets de-
scribed as follows:
Lots 1, 3, 5, 7, Bloc~ A, and Lots 1, 2, ~ and 4, Bloc~
B, Goodwin Addition; Lots l, 2, 3 and 4, Block C, and Lots l,
2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8, Block A, Warner Subdivision; Lots l,
2, 3, and 4, Block A, Tract No. 276; a~ well as that parcel
of land between the Southern Pacific Railroad and the Westerly
right of way line of the Santa Ann Freeway for a depth of
approximately 200',
be reclassified from R-2a~d C DiaSrtet ~o~h~."C-I (Neighber~ . ~, :~
hood Commercial District) and that Sheet Numbered 2, of the
Districting Map of Article IX of the Santa Ann Municipal Code be amend,
ed to show such reclassification.
SECTION 2. The Clerk of the Council shall certify to the passage
6f this Ordinance and shell cause the same to be published within 15
days after its adoption, in one issue of the Santa Ane Independent,
the official newspaper of the City. This Ordinance shell teke effect
30 days from and after the date of its final adoption.
